The Fonz
- Client: Self-promotion
- Project Type: Middle-grade Book
- Medium: Digital
This was an assignment given to me by my agent. The prompt was to design a book cover about a well-known person I admire. I chose the coolest person I could think of—The Fonz, aka Henry Winkler.
Halloween Feast
- Client: Self-promotion
- Medium: Traditional / Digital
While trick-or-treating through their local neighborhood, a group of kids were invited into Mr. Vamp’s mansion after many knocks—and a few playful threats of “trick!” Once seated at a table full of tasty treats, Mr. Vamp was overwhelmed with joy. His trap was set, and his mechanical spider was ready to feast! The kids were having a blast...until...
Teen Wolf
- Client: Self-promotion
- Medium: Digital
My agent asked me to create a postcard promotion piece based on difficult emotions. It’s a complex theme, and what is more complex than becoming a teenage werewolf? I’ve always loved werewolf stories, and this gave me the perfect opportunity.
As we all go through the process of becoming teenagers, some of us have a very different kind of 'process.' For a teen wolf, emotional distress is only the beginning of trying to figure out your place in the world. And it certainly doesn’t help when your parents walk in on you during your very first full moon!
Penny and the Stolen Chalice
- Client: OSV Kids
- Project Type: Middle-grade Book
- Author: Antony Barone Kolenc

Fast-paced and filled with mystery, Penny and the Stolen Chalice will keep middle-grade readers guessing to the very end. James and the Giant Peach
- Client: Self-promotion
- Project Type: Middle-grade Book
- Medium: Digital
I've always had a weird reaction to Roald Dahl stories—weird in a good way. They can be dark and a little heavy-handed, but they never forget to throw everything out the window and just have fun.
Holiday Tradition
- Client: Self-promotion
- Medium: Digital
A holiday tradition in my house was holding up my baby son so he could place the star on top of the
Christmas tree. Doing it every year was a thrill for him—and even more so for me. I miss it.
He’s sixteen now, and “holding him up” would mean working with the Christmas tree in the town square. He’s
taller than me!
The good news is, we never fell over during this traditional event—though I'm sure our cat would've loved
to see that.
Halloween Glow
- Client: Self-promotion
- Medium: Digital
This is a piece I created for the prompt: Glow. I have fond memories of Halloween as a young child, walking around my neighborhood with my mom holding my hand and me carrying a flashlight. I remember feeling scared of the dark and safe at the same time—because Mom was there, and the glow of our flashlight felt like protection from all the creepy characters roaming the night. I'm not in this illustration, nor is my mom, but the inspiration is there.
Night of the Living Dummy – Goosebumps
- Client: Self-promotion
- Project Type: Middle-grade Book
- Author: R.L. Stine
- Medium: Digital
This illustrated reinterpretation of *Night of the Living Dummy* captures the eerie charm of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps classic. Created as a personal project to reimagine the iconic Slappy in a cinematic style.
Universe of Imagination
- Client: Self-promotion
- Medium: Digital
Sketchbook outtake using a reference of my son reading a book. He really needs to read more often—just as many of us do. We live in a world built on the aesthetic of speed and instant gratification, where slowing down feels like too much to ask. Escaping to a universe where reading is standard and required sounds like a pretty nice place to visit.
Fluffles, Beebas, and Unicorns
- Client: Amazon Book Publishing
- Project Type: Middle-grade Book
- Author: Thaddeus Reichley
- Medium: Digital
I created 31 illustrations, including cover, for this project.
Thaddeus Reichley (Author): "Are you ready to go on an adventure? Well, I’ve got some rhymes to share with you! Some of these poems are just fanciful bits of my imagination, sparked from things I have seen or experienced. Others come from a special challenge I had with the kids of my former school. During our monthly assemblies, they’d give me four random words. What did I do with these words? Well, I turned them into poems! It became a magical game that lasted over ten years, resulting in dozens of silly poems. And you know what? It proved that inspiration can come from anywhere! So as you read through these poems, keep an eye out for the special challenge words highlighted throughout the text. Maybe you will be inspired to use these words to write your very own poems!"

Things Are Ok
- Client: Self-promotion
- Project Type: Sequential Art
- Medium: Digital
I'm working on a set of one-page comics — my visual diary. It's a personal project about my life — the things that entertain me, make me smile, and sometimes just remind me that everything around me is simply okay. And I like okay. It means I’m doing life the right way. I’ll take okay and a smile over everything else any day of the week. Don’t get me wrong — happy and sad have their place. But they feel inherently short-term, fleeting. I’m in it for the long haul. So bring on the okay — please and thank you.
